“Thank you for the gift cards that allowed two boys living in extremely poverty to pick out their own pants, shirt and new gym shoes. They were so excited and grateful! I am so humbled and thankful that I get to help these boys through Habit of the Heart! Thank you for helping these students in need”

“Words cannot begin to express my gratitude for you getting all of my medications.  My coming to Sheltering Wings has felt like I was led here directly by the hand of God.  Although buying these medications may have been something small for you, it has been huge for me and my children.  It helps me have more pain free days and allows me to do more things with them every day, and to me that is truly another blessing.”

“We have a 2nd grade student who is in need of dental assistance.  Currently, Grandma is taking care of him and is unable to afford taking him back to the dentist to put a cap back on his tooth.  The tooth is now causing him a lot of pain.”

“Thank you for the gas and gift cards for food.  This family is struggling right now because baby sister was recently hospitalized with RSV and pneumonia.  Although the student is on Medicaid, his baby sister is not, and bills are starting to pile up for the family.  Dad is now working overtime to make the house payment and both parents are skipping meals in order to feed the children and put gas in the car.  This assistance has allowed the family to spend Dad’s paycheck on the house payment and the accruing medical bills.”

“This student takes daily medication to help him with his behavioral and academic success at school.  Without the medication, he struggles to focus and complete school work.  The family is unable to come up with the extra money for his medication this month and is in need of assistance to pay for it. Thank you for paying for his medication so he can succeed in school.”

“Thank you for providing funds for an eye exam and new glasses.  This student cannot see and no longer has glasses.  She had them many years ago, but her vision has worsened significantly.  She has one sibling in the hospital, so the family was not able to get her help at this time.”
